Official Charity Partner of the British Conveyancing Awards 2025
We are delighted to be chosen as the Charity Partner of the prestigious British Conveyancing Awards (BCA) 2025 and we are committed to making a significant impact within the property industry and beyond. This year, all funds raised at the awards will support the Mindstep Foundation. This incredible charity focuses on funding mental health research, raising awareness, and providing support for those affected.
About Mindstep
The Mindstep Foundation has been established as a registered charity to fund research into the causes of suicide and support those who have been bereaved by or are at risk of suicide. Tragically, over 80 men in England and Wales take their own lives every week and suicide remains as the largest killer of men under the age of 40 across the UK.
The Mindstep Foundation’s mission encompasses several key areas:
- Research: Funding studies to understand the causes of suicide and develop effective prevention strategies.
- Awareness: Working to break the stigma associated with mental health issues, especially among young men, by highlighting warning signs and promoting open discussions.
- Support: Providing assistance to individuals at risk of suicide and those bereaved by suicide, offering resources and guidance to navigate these challenging experiences. Post suicide, there is currently limited support for loved ones – the survivors. Knowing how to manage the aftermath of suicide and the complicated grief following a suicide is a key initiative.
By funding research into the causes of suicide and working to raise awareness of both the warning signs and consequences of mental health conditions going untreated, the Mindstep Foundation aims to break the stigma attached to admitting, confronting and dealing with mental health issues, especially in young men.
Set up in memory of Max Davies who tragically passed away by suicide in 2018, the Davies family have been on a mission to take steps, no matter how small to ensure that no one suffers the loss of a loved one to suicide.
Join the Mindstep Relay 2025
Mindstep Relay 2025 will take place from Friday, 28 March at 4 PM to Sunday, 30 March at 7 PM. This incredible event brings people together to support mental health awareness and suicide prevention. Taking part is simple – just choose a one-hour timeslot and do any activity you love, whether it’s walking, running, cycling, dancing, or something else entirely. Then, pass the virtual baton to the next participant! Last year, over a hundred relayers raised thousands to help fund life-saving research and support services.
